The Evangelical Institute (EI) is committed to providing high-quality education and theological training that promotes life change. It is important to note that while EI is committed to quality academic study, EI is not accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Consequently, the Associate and Bachelor degrees offered by EI are not accredited degrees.

Legal Exemption: Under South Carolina Code 59-58-30(4), EI is exempted from accreditation requirements as an institution whose sole purpose is religious or theological training. This allows us to confer degrees in these fields while focusing on our mission to provide comprehensive and meaningful education that leads to life change.

Credit Hour Acceptance: While our degrees are not accredited, many reputable seminaries recognize and accept our bachelor degree. Some of these institutions include:

  • Bethlehem College and Seminary
  • Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary
  • Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
  • Reformed Theological Seminary
  • Sangre de Cristo Seminary
  • Shepherd’s Theological Seminary
  • Southeastern Theological Seminary
  • Westminster Theological Seminary

EI remains dedicated to fostering life change through our academic program. We believe that our program encompasses personal and spiritual growth, and we are committed to supporting our students in these endeavors.
